Red Bull Air Race World Championship, the world’s fastest motor sport competition, came to Japan for the first time in 2015.
In the competition (also called “F1 in the sky”), top pilots from around the world compete with each other to win the record with a maximum speed of 370km. We created award gifts for the pilots. The event took place in Makuhari, Chiba. The gift is a palm-sized puzzle box that contains a mechanism that makes the contents inside disappear by moving the left edge up and down. Also inside the box is origami made with traditional Japanese patterns.
